Diploma in Early Learning and Childcare
Level 3 for Early Years Educators sets out the minimum requirements for a qualification that develops learners with skills, knowledge and behaviours required to care for children from birth to five years
The qualification recognises the knowledge, skills and behaviours needed to demonstrate knowledge and competence to work within an Early Years Setting. It provides learners with guidance on effective communication, personal development, values and behaviours, health and wellbeing, responsibilities of self and others and safeguarding.
Now that you have completed this qualification you could progress on to the Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People’s Services
The Learner has achieved 67 credits. The Learner has demonstrated their knowledge, skills and behaviours achieving 67 credits of mandatory units, examples of which consists of:

- Equality, diversity, health and safety and inclusion for early years practitioners
- Duty of care
- Safeguarding children in early years settings.
- Leading and planning children’s educational programmes

- Understanding theories and philosophical approaches.
- Working in partnership with parents and others in early years settings.
